There is a set of two character categories in this title: seven different maniacs and seven victims. You need to choose the character and the position you are going to play for. If you decide to try yourself as a serial killer, you will have to wander across various locations, looking for people to defeat. If you are playing for a victim, then you will have to find a way to avoid being killed by the maniac. All characters can be leveled-up! There are also opportunities to craft items for both positions.
