Bad Parenting is set in a dimly lit apartment designed to evoke the unsettling ambiance of a haunted dollhouse. The protagonist is a young boy who excitedly awaits his mother’s return from work on his birthday, only to have his expectations crushed when she forgets both the day and the gift. This oversight triggers a series of events that deepen as the evening wears on, with escalating arguments between his parents eventually leading to the boy being secluded in his room, away from the turmoil.

The Tale of Mr. Red Face

In an attempt to calm her son, the mother recounts a tale of Mr. Red Face, a spectral figure reputed to visit well-mannered children under the cover of darkness, leaving behind toys. What starts as a comforting bedtime story soon morphs into a nightmarish scenario. That night, the boy is disturbed by peculiar sounds and glimpses a shadowy figure in his room. By morning, a new doll sits by his bed, its features disturbingly similar to his own but marred by a grotesquely twisted head—a supposed gift from Mr. Red Face.
